Rod Stewart’s AI tribute to Ozzy Osbourne shows musician taking selfies in heaven
Ozzy Osbourne's hearse arrives for his funeral procession in Birmingham
Rod Stewart is facing backlash for a concert tribute to Ozzy Osbourne, who died in July aged 76.
The tribute features an AI-generated video showing Osbourne taking selfies with other deceased music legends, including Prince, Amy Winehouse, Tupac Shakur and Tina Turner, in heaven.
Played during Stewart's performance of 'Forever Young' at a concert in Georgia, the visual has been widely criticised as “tasteless” and “disrespectful” by many online.
Shakur's stepbrother, Mopreme Shakur, has defended the tribute, viewing it as a touching way to honour the late musicians.
The video has been viewed more than three million times on X/Twitter alone.
