Hosting announcements made for the new season of Saturday Night Live

  • Saturday Night Live has announced the hosts and musical guests for its first three Season 51 episodes, featuring Bad Bunny and Doja Cat, Amy Poehler and Role Model, and Sabrina Carpenter.
  • The announcements follow a major cast shake-up, with high-profile departures including Ego Nwodim and Heidi Gardner, alongside Devon Walker, Emil Wakim, and Michael Longfellow.
  • Five new cast members have joined the show: Ben Marshall, Veronika Slowikowska, Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane, and Kam Patterson.
  • Executive producer Lorne Michaels stated that the changes are intended to bring in new generations and revive the show, acknowledging that departures are difficult but necessary.
  • Season 51 of Saturday Night Live is set to premiere on 4 October at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC, with streaming available on Peacock the following day.
