- The delay is believed to be due to concerns over the show's subject matter, following the recent killing of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk.
- Kirk's killing also led to late-night host Jimmy Kimmel being temporarily taken off the air after making comments about the incident.
- Although Jimmy Kimmel Live! has returned, nearly one-third of ABC stations nationwide, including those owned by Nexstar Media and Sinclair Inc, boycotted the show.
