Bread recalled in 12 states due to potential hazelnut contamination

More than 600,000 cars recalled across Europe over engine issue
  • Hartford Bakery Inc. has recalled its Lewis Bake Shop Artisan Style half-loaf bread.
  • The recall is due to undeclared hazelnuts, an allergen, found in some loaves because of a packaging error.
  • Approximately 883 units from six production lots were affected, mistakenly labelled as “May Contain Tree Nuts” instead of specifying hazelnuts.
  • The recalled bread was distributed across 12 US states and sold at major retailers including Kroger and Walmart.
  • Consumers are advised to return the affected product for a full refund, with one report of digestive discomfort but no serious injuries.
