Car company makes urgent recall with over 1 million vehicles affected
Ford boss reveals plans to stay competitive in the car market
Ford is recalling nearly 1.5 million vehicles in the United States due to a faulty rear view camera.
The defect causes the camera to display a blank or distorted image on the centre screen when the car is in reverse, increasing the risk of a collision.
The recall impacts certain vehicles from model years 2015 to 2019.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has recorded 18 accidents related to the camera issue, with no reported injuries.
Owners will be notified by mail to have their vehicles inspected and the camera replaced free of charge at a Ford or Lincoln dealership.
