New Yorkers react to Powerball Jackpot now $1.3 Billion
The Powerball jackpot has surged to $1.3 billion after no one won the top prize in Monday's Labor Day drawing.
The winning numbers for Monday's draw were 8, 23, 25, 40, 53, and red Powerball 5.
Although the jackpot was not won, 10 tickets across the US won £1 million each, and two tickets won $2 million using the Power Play option.
The next Powerball drawing is set for Wednesday at 11 p.m. ET, marking the 41st drawing since the jackpot was last claimed on 31 May.
This jackpot is now the fifth-largest in Powerball history, offering the winner a choice between a $1.30 billion annuity or a $589 million lump sum, both before taxes.
