‘Tricky’ UK surrogacy system sees couple turn to Colombia to start family

  • They found Colombia more affordable, and appreciated the access to "high-class egg donors".
  • The couple now has two-year-old twins, Margot and Tomas, and a nine-month-old son, Rian, all born via surrogacy in Colombia.
  • They maintain contact with the surrogates, referring to them as "Colombian fairy godmothers".
