Woman worries about cousin's 'atrocious' baby name
Muhammad has been named the most popular baby boy name in England and Wales for the second consecutive year, remaining in the top 10 since 2016.
Olivia and Amelia retained their positions as the top two choices for girls for the third year running, with Olivia featuring in the top three since 2006.
Isla dropped out of the top three girls' names, being replaced by Lily, according to data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
Three variant spellings of Muhammad (Mohammed and Mohammad) also appeared in the top 100 baby boys' names, alongside the top-ranked spelling.
The ONS data indicated a general fall in the popularity of royal names, while some unusual names like Cuthbert and Orchid were given to fewer than five babies.
