- Isla dropped out of the top three girls' names, being replaced by Lily, according to data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
- Three variant spellings of Muhammad (Mohammed and Mohammad) also appeared in the top 100 baby boys' names, alongside the top-ranked spelling.
- The ONS data indicated a general fall in the popularity of royal names, while some unusual names like Cuthbert and Orchid were given to fewer than five babies.
