Alpacas shot dead in ‘horrific’ attack

  • Four alpacas have been shot dead on a farm in East Hatley, Cambridgeshire, while a fifth was also shot but survived and is receiving vet treatment.
  • A sheep was also found severely mauled by a dog and later had to be euthanised.
  • The farm owner, Dawn French, discovered the animals on Sunday morning and described the incident as "horrific" and "senseless”.
  • Cambridgeshire Police are investigating the attack, which is believed to have occurred between Saturday evening and Sunday morning.
  • The motive for the attack is unknown, and police are appealing for information.
