  • Major train disruption is affecting journeys in and out of Birmingham New Street station.
  • The disruption is caused by damage to overhead electric wires in the Birmingham New Street area.
  • Delays of 120 minutes or more, cancellations, and diversions are expected to continue until the end of the day (July 2).
  • Affected train operators include CrossCountry, Avanti West Coast, London Northwestern Railway, Transport for Wales, and West Midlands Railway.
  • Routes to surrounding areas such as Coventry, Walsall, and Wolverhampton are also experiencing severe delays and cancellations.
