A man was found dead in a pool of blood at the Burning Manfestival in Nevada's Black Rock Desert on Saturday night.
The Pershing County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death as a homicide, with the body transported to the Washoe County Medical Examiner's Office.
Although the incident appeared to be a 'singular crime,' police advised festival participants to remain vigilant.
Authorities described the investigation as 'complicated' due to the temporary nature of the festival's 'city,' which will soon be gone.
Burning Man organisers are cooperating with law enforcement, stressing the paramount importance of community safety and well-being.
