  • The Brotherhood of the Knights of Camembert has launched a cultural campaign in Normandy to protect the authenticity of Camembert cheese.
  • The group, dressed in medieval attire, is seeking Unesco recognition for the famed French fromage as an intangible cultural heritage.
  • This effort follows a French court ruling that barred mass-produced Camembert from being labelled 'made in Normandy' to safeguard traditional cheesemakers using unpasteurised milk.
