Seventy-year-old driver goes airborne over six lanes of traffic on Long Island highway
A 70-year-old driver miraculously survived after their car launched over a six-lane highway in Long Island.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, September 3, in Bay Shore, when the Honda Sedan sped across an embankment and used a hill as a ramp to fly over Sunrise Highway.
The driver sustained only minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.
Remarkably, no other vehicles were involved in the crash, and no bystanders were hurt.
Police are currently investigating the cause of the crash, and no charges have been filed yet.
