  • Conservative activist Charlie Kirk was fatally shot by a sniper's bullet at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.
  • Following Kirk's death, Elon Musk posted inflammatory comments on X, including the statement "The Left is the party of murder."
  • Musk also agreed with unsubstantiated claims that wealthy investors were funding left-wing terrorism and retweeted a post alleging users were "celebrating" Kirk's death.
  • Donald Trump led tributes to Kirk, while the individual responsible for the shooting remains at large.
  • California Governor Gavin Newsom and other Democratic figures, including Gabby Giffords and Nancy Pelosi, condemned the political violence.
