Olympic cycling champion Sir Chris Hoy, who is living with terminal prostate cancer, is advocating for men with the disease to embrace physical activity to improve their quality of life.
Sir Chris, who received his terminal diagnosis in 2024 with a prognosis of two to four years, has launched a fitness partnership to support this cause.
The partnership, involving PureGym, The Institute of Cancer Research, and the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, aims to encourage greater activity among men with prostate cancer.
It will provide men with advanced prostate cancer on hormone therapy a free one-year PureGym membership and a structured exercise programme.
Regular exercise can significantly alleviate severe side effects of hormone therapy and potentially improve cancer outcomes.
