A House task force focused on government transparency is set to hold a hearing next week concerning unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs), also known as UFOs.
The hearing, scheduled for Tuesday in Washington, D.C., will feature testimonies from Air Force and Navy veterans, alongside journalist George Knapp, and will focus on Pentagon disclosures.
The panel will push for “maximum transparency” from the government about UFOs, chairwoman Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna said.
It follows a previous House Oversight subcommittee hearing where witnesses alleged the government withheld information on documented UFO cases.
While UAP discussions often involve aliens, the increasing prevalence of drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles means that many sightings could have conventional explanations.
