Bibury, a picturesque village in the Cotswolds, faces escalating tensions between residents and tourists due to over-tourism.
The village, with a population of 700, attracts up to 20,000 visitors on weekends, leading to parking disputes and traffic congestion.
During Easter weekend, a resident claimed his foot was run over by a tourist's car during a parking disagreement.
The influx of tourists, fueled by social media promotion, has made the village a popular destination. Artist William Morris also described it as the “most beautiful village in England”.
Village leaders are considering measures to restrict coaches and address over-tourism, including potentially banning them altogether.
