Drug smuggler leaves voicemail before fleeing Border Force on cocaine-packed boat
Listen to drug smuggler's voicemail before trying to flee police with cocaine-laden boat
A drug smuggler's voicemail, released by the Home Office, revealed his belief that the operation carried "zero f****** risk" and only required "a fisherman with a boat".
Three men attempted to escape Border Force officers in a boat carrying £18.4 million worth of cocaine, leading to a 28-mile pursuit.
Footage captured Border Force officers chasing the men across a beach after their vessel was intercepted.
The three men have been convicted of importing Class A drugs, the National Crime Agency said. Four other people involved in orchestrating the collection of the drugs have also been convicted.
