Elon Musk dodges drug allegations at final White House conference
Black-eyed Elon Musk attacks the New York Times after report on alleged drug use
Elon Musk has appeared at a farewell press conference marking the end of his time as a special government employee heading up the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
During the conference, the Tesla CEO dodged a question about a New York Times report that claimed he was “intensely” using drugs while he was boosting Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.
The report claimed he was using ketamine, ecstasy, psychedelic mushrooms and Adderall. Mr Musk criticised the paper, accusing it of previous “false reporting”.
The billionaire has previously publicly admitted to using a “small amount” of ketamine.
Mr Musk appeared at the conference with a black eye, which he claimed he got from “horsing around” with his five-year-old son.
