Army storms Russian ‘shadow fleet’ oil tanker off French coast
Zelensky warns Europe of drone attacks after 'treacherous' Ukraine strikes
French police have arrested the captain and first officer of a Russian "shadow fleet" oil tanker off the French coast.
The arrests are linked to an investigation into whether the vessel was reportedly involved in recent drone incursions in Denmark, which caused airport closures.
The two men are accused of failing to prove the ship's nationality and disobeying orders from French authorities.
The tanker, known as "Pushpa" or "Boracay", is believed to be part of Russia's "shadow fleet" used to circumvent Western sanctions.
French President Emmanuel Macron said that this "notorious shadow fleet" finances a significant portion of Russia's war effort.
