What caused UK air traffic control chaos and what are your rights?
The main French air traffic control union, SNCTA, has suspended a planned strike for 18 to 19 September.
This decision was made because the collapse of the French government made it “impossible to achieve demands at the ministerial level”.
A more extensive strike is still scheduled to take place from the morning of 7 October to the morning of 10 October.
French air traffic control walkouts severely disrupt European air travel, as one in three flights typically routes through or over France.
Airlines like Ryanair, which was significantly impacted by a previous July strike, are urging the European Commission to ensure French airspace remains open for overflights during future industrial action.
