Gareth Southgate recalls ‘strange’ links with national team job
Southgate 'not missing' managing England
Gareth Southgate is not actively seeking a return to football management, 13 months after concluding his successful eight-year tenure as England boss following the Euro 2024 final.
He is currently enjoying a balanced life, which includes writing a book, managing various business interests, and providing leadership guidance to young coaches.
Southgate expressed surprise at recent speculation linking him to the Poland national team job, stating he had no knowledge of such rumours.
During his time as England manager, he guided the team to consecutive European Championship finals and strong performances in World Cups.
Southgate recently received the PFA Merit Award in Manchester for his significant contributions to football and achievements with the England team.
