Acclaimed primatologist and conservationist Dame Jane Goodall, who revolutionised the world's understanding of animal behaviour, has died aged 91.
She established the world's longest-running chimpanzee study in Gombe, Tanzania, demonstrating their complex emotional and social lives, tool use, and human-like communication.
Goodall founded the Jane Goodall Institutes and the Roots & Shoots programme, tirelessly advocating for wildlife protection, environmental conservation, and humanitarian causes globally.
A UN Messenger of Peace, she received numerous awards and honorary degrees for her groundbreaking work and her role as an inspirational figure for women in science.
Dame Goodall continued to lecture worldwide on conservation and climate change well into her nineties, inspiring many with her activism and belief in a peaceful future.
