Confusion surrounds Badenoch offer from prestigious US university
Kemi Badenoch suggests putting asylum seekers in ‘migrant camps’
Kemi Badenoch, a Conservative Party leader, maintains she received an offer and partial scholarship to study medicine at Stanford University when she was 16.
This claim has been challenged by a new report, which highlights that Stanford's admissions process typically requires a Bachelor's degree and does not offer a pre-med course.
A former Stanford admissions officer from the period in question, Jon Reider, stated he did not offer Badenoch a place and that offers were not made solely on test scores or without full financial aid if required.
Despite the scrutiny, Badenoch insists she received the offer based on her SAT results but no longer possesses the relevant documentation from 30 years ago.
The Labour Party has called for Badenoch to provide evidence to substantiate her claims, questioning her honesty and integrity.
