- Ukraine's air force reported Russia unleashed 550 drones and missiles across the country, predominantly Shahed drones and 11 missiles, with Ukrainian air defences shooting down 270 targets.
- The assault occurred hours after Donald Trump held a call with Russian President Vladimir Putin and commented on his administration's decision to pause some shipments of crucial weapons, including Patriot and Stinger missiles, to Ukraine.
- This latest attack marks the most severe aerial bombardment of Kyiv since the war began, following closely on the heels of Russia's previous largest aerial assault less than a week prior.
