A zookeeper, Jian Rangkharasamee, 58, was mauled to death by lions at Safari World Bangkok on Wednesday.
The incident occurred in the park's viewing section when Mr Rangkharasamee, who had worked there for three decades, reportedly stepped out of his car during feeding time.
Wildlife protection officials believe six or seven lions were involved in the attack, which was witnessed by visitors.
Safari World Bangkok has been temporarily closed, and police have launched an investigation into the incident.
Mr Rangkharasamee's wife stated he was the family's sole breadwinner and always took precautions, having never been attacked before.
