London Mayor Sadiq Khan is launching a campaign to encourage public transport users to wear headphones and avoid playing loud music or holding speakerphone conversations.
The initiative, part of Transport for London’s (TfL) wider 'Travel Kind' campaign, will begin with posters on the Elizabeth line from Tuesday, before extending across all London public transport networks.
Shadow transport secretary Richard Holden stated passengers should not have to 'endure somebody else’s choice of crap music', highlighting the political significance of the issue.
