Martin Lewis issues warning to parents over ‘hidden’ university cost
Martin Lewis Tells Parents They 'Need To Start Saving Now' In University 'Warning'
Martin Lewis has warned parents about a "hidden" cost of university, urging them to start saving immediately for their children's living expenses.
He explained that student living loans are means-tested, with children receiving a smaller loan if their family income, including two parents, exceeds £25,000.
Lewis highlighted that this £25,000 income threshold has remained unchanged since 2008, despite inflation rising by 64 per cent.
He described this policy as "outrageous," emphasising the need for parents to plan early to ensure their children have sufficient funds for university living costs.
