Kneecap rapper says failed terror charge was ‘always about Gaza’
Kneecap's Mo Chara leaves court after terror charge thrown out
Kneecap rapper Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh, who performs under the name Mo Chara, had a terrorism charge against him dropped on Friday due to a technical error.
He was accused of displaying a flag in support of the proscribed organisation Hezbollah at a gig in Kentish Town, north London, in November 2024.
Speaking outside Woolwich Crown Court, he said the trial was "not about terrorism" but "always about Gaza".
He said that attempts to silence the band had "failed" and accused the British state of "terrorism", concluding with "Free Palestine".
