The Nevada state government cancelled all in-person services and shut down its public website after experiencing an unspecified "network security incident".
The incident was identified early on Sunday morning, prompting immediate 24/7 recovery efforts by the state.
Affected services included the Nevada DMV and the Public Utilities Commission, though essential services like 911 remained operational.
Governor Joe Lombardo's office stated there was no evidence of personally identifiable information being compromised at this time.
The U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency and the FBI's Las Vegas field office are assisting with the ongoing investigation and recovery efforts.
