The NHS plans to deploy health workers for door-to-door visits to address high sickness rates in England, according to reports.
Each worker will be assigned 120 homes to visit monthly, offering assistance and aiming to reduce hospital admissions.
A pilot program in Westminster showed a 10 per cent decrease in hospital visits.
This initiative is part of a 10-year NHS plan by Health Secretary Wes Streeting, which also includes directing younger people to pharmacies via the NHS app.
Streeting said the NHS needs systemic changes, not just increased funding, to improve patient care.
