19-year-old Nicholas Prosper admitted to murdering his mother, Juliana Falcon (48), brother, Kyle Prosper (16), and sister, Giselle Prosper (13), in their Luton flat.
Prosper planned to attack a nearby primary school assembly, aiming to kill 30 children and two staff members, but was thwarted when his family's struggle alerted neighbours.
He was arrested with a shotgun and 30 cartridges, and investigations revealed extensive planning, including online research of mass shootings and school surveillance.
Prosper had a forged shotgun license and researched arterial anatomy and necrophilia before the murders.
