Explosion after hit-and-run driver hits veterinary surgery's gas line in North Carolina
A building in North Carolina exploded after a hit-and-run driver crashed into its gas line.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, 19 August, when Jason Lee Beach, 46, of Wilmington, drove into the Eastern Carolina Veterinary Medical Center's gas pipes.
The explosion happened 20 minutes later while firefighters were inside, resulting in four firefighters being injured, one severely.
Beach has been arrested and faces five charges, including DWI-felony serious injury and reckless driving.
