Palestinian children in urgent need of medical treatment land in Italy
Palestinian children in urgent need of medical care have been evacuated from Gaza to Italy.
The young patients, suffering from severe injuries, amputations, or serious congenital diseases, landed at Rome Ciampino airport on Wednesday.
Footage showed the patients being wheeled from the plane on stretchers to waiting ambulances for transport to hospitals.
Italy's foreign minister, Antonio Tajani, stressed the importance of supporting the Palestinian people and treating those in need, with 31 children among the 114 evacuees received by Italy.
