Former England star Paul Ince arrives at court charged with drink-driving
  • Paul Ince, the 57-year-old former England captain, has been disqualified from driving for 12 months after admitting to drink-driving.
  • He pleaded guilty at Chester Magistrates Court to driving his black Range Rover while over the limit on 28 June in Neston, Cheshire.
  • District Judge Jack McGarva stated that the message for drivers is not to drink at all if they intend to drive.
  • Ince was fined £5,000 and ordered to pay a £2,000 statutory surcharge and £85 in costs, amounting to a total of £7,085.
  • The incident involved his vehicle colliding with the central reservation barrier on Chester High Road.
