World leaders arriving to pay respects at historic Vatican ceremony
World leaders, including US President Donald Trump, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and Prince William attended Pope Francis's funeral in Vatican City.
A large crowd of mourners gathered in St. Peter's Square for the funeral mass after approximately 250,000 people paid their respects during the three-day lying-in-state.
Following the funeral, Pope Francis's remains will be interred in a simple tomb at the basilica of Saint Mary Major, per his wishes.
The selection process for the next pope, known as conclave, is expected to begin on May 5th.
