Reform UK slammed for allowing vaccine sceptic to address conference
Most bizarre moments from Reform UK party conference
Reform UK has been criticised for allowing cardiologist Dr Assem Malhotra, a vaccine sceptic, to address its conference.
Dr Malhotra claimed that Covid vaccines may have caused cancer in members of the royal family and suggested they were more likely to cause harm than the virus itself.
Health Secretary Wes Streeting condemned Reform UK's decision as “irresponsible” and called for Nigel Farage to apologise for giving a platform to “poisonous lies”.
Medical experts, including Professor Brian Ferguson and Professor Penny Ward, dismissed Dr Malhotra's claims as “meaningless pseudoscience” and “outlandish conspiracy theory”.
They said there is no credible evidence linking Covid vaccines to cancer or widespread harm, stating that the vaccines have saved millions of lives.
