A new YouGov megapoll indicates Reform UK would become Britain’s largest party if a general election were held tomorrow, with Nigel Farage potentially forming a minority government.
The poll projects Reform UK would secure 271 seats, a significant increase from their current five, while Labour would see a dramatic collapse from 403 to 178 seats.
The Conservative party is predicted to fall to fourth place with only 46 seats, behind the Liberal Democrats, marking their worst election performance on record.
Several prominent Labour cabinet ministers, including Angela Rayner and Yvette Cooper, would lose their seats, and Reform would dominate multiple regions across England and Wales.
The poll attributes Reform's surge to Labour's plummeting popularity, with 194 Labour-held seats potentially turning to Reform, amid internal party rebellions over proposed welfare cuts and recent policy U-turns.
