How King Charles got £30m richer in just one year

King Charles remembers Queen Elizabeth II's VE Day celebrations
  • King Charles' personal fortune has increased by £30 million to £640 million in the past year, a rise of nearly 5 per cent.
  • The increase is largely due to inheritance from Queen Elizabeth II, including the Sandringham and Balmoral estates.
  • This makes the King as wealthy as the combined fortune of former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his wife, Akshata Murty.
  • The Sunday Times Rich List, which only considers personal assets, now places Charles at 238th on the UK's wealthiest list.
  • The calculation doesn't include the Crown Estate, Duchy of Lancaster, or Crown Jewels, which are held in trust.
