Why Sally Rooney could could face arrest if she enters the UK
Jeremy Corbyn slams ban of Palestine Action
Author Sally Rooney has been advised she risks arrest if she enters the UK due to her support for Palestine Action.
Palestine Action was proscribed as a terror organisation in July, making support for it illegal, following claims of damaging planes at RAF Brize Norton.
Rooney, known for 'Normal People', stated she would continue to support the group despite the ban.
She was unable to attend a Sky Arts Award ceremony in London, where her editor read a message reiterating her solidarity with the people of Palestine.
Downing Street previously warned Rooney in August that she risked committing a terrorist offence, and she is supporting a legal claim against the Home Office's decision to proscribe the group.
