Trump meets Scottish First Minister to talk whisky prices

First Minister John Swinney met President Donald Trump in the Oval Office to discuss Scotch whisky tariffs.
The primary objective of the meeting was to advocate for a better tariff deal, specifically the reduction or elimination of tariffs on Scotch whisky exports to the United States.
The 50-minute discussion took place ahead of President Trump's State Visit to the United Kingdom, with Mr Swinney confirming his attendance at the State Banquet.
During the meeting, Mr Swinney also raised the international situation, including the ongoing conflicts in Gaza and Qatar.
Mr Swinney is undertaking a series of trade and political meetings in the United States to promote Scotland's interests.
