Why Corbyn was criticised by party co-leader just weeks after forming
Zarah Sultana challenges Rachel Reeves over child benefit cap and freebies
Zarah Sultana, co-leader of Jeremy Corbyn's new political party, has accused him of "capitulating" over antisemitism during his tenure as Labour leader.
Sultana specifically criticised Corbyn's decision to adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism in 2018.
She also stated that Labour under Corbyn "triangulated" on Brexit, alienated voters, and was "frightened and far too conciliatory" when facing external attacks.
The Board of Deputies of British Jews responded, asserting that the IHRA definition is widely supported by the Jewish community and calling Sultana's remarks a "grave insult."
Sultana's public criticism is expected to heighten tensions within "Your Party," a new left-wing group attracting independent pro-Gaza politicians.
