A new road safety campaign in Scotland is encouraging tourists driving in the Highlands to display "T plates" to help reduce crashes.
The green "T plates", which have "tourist" written on them, are designed to alert other road users that the driver may be unfamiliar with Scottish routes.
It comes after Transport Scotland warned of an increase in crashes caused by “inexperience of driving on the left”.
Road safety campaigner Laura Hanser tested the plates and observed that other drivers maintained distance, particularly on collision-prone rural roads like the A9.
Transport Scotland has declared the £9.99 T plates, which are designed to be easily attached and transferred between vehicles, legal for use.
