Trump warns of ‘even more brutal attacks’ on Iran after Israeli strikes
Inside ‘Operation Rising Lion’: Israel’s strike at the heart of Iran’s nuclear program
President Donald Trump has claimed that the US had foreknowledge of and supported Israel's attacks on Iranian nuclear sites and military commanders.
This contradicts Secretary of State Marco Rubio's earlier statement that the strikes were unilateral and without American assistance.
The strikes, on more than 100 targets in Iran overnight, were carried out by 200 fighter jets, Israel said.
Trump stated on Truth Social that he had given Iran "chance after chance to make a deal" to restrict its nuclear weapons program before the strikes, and warned that Israel possesses advanced American military hardware.
He said there was “still time” for Iranian officials to make the “slaughter” by Israeli forces “come to an end” before “even more brutal attacks” come next.
