President Trump is set to receive a Boeing 747-8 jumbo jet, valued at $400 million, as a gift from the Qatari Royal family.
The plane will serve as the new Air Force One until the end of Trump's term, after which it will be transferred to his presidential library.
This gift, likely the most valuable ever given to the U.S. by a foreign government, raises legal questions regarding the Constitution's emoluments clause.
The Justice Department insists the gift is legal, arguing it's not bribery because it's given to the Air Force, not Trump personally, and isn't tied to any official act.
The plane will undergo modifications to meet U.S. military specifications before Trump can use it.
