President Donald Trump has unveiled a new "escape-proof" detention center in the Florida Everglades, which was built in eight days at a disused airstrip.
During the visit, Trump suggested using alligators as natural barriers for detention centers.
Trump also proposed creating a "system" of detention camps across multiple states and endorsed Florida Governor Ron DeSantis's plan to use National Guard soldiers as immigration judges to expedite deportations.
The president floated the controversial idea of deporting criminal US citizens, stating that "many of them were born in our country" and should be removed.
During the visit, Trump referred to President Joe Biden as a "son of a bitch".
