  • Dr Hillary Jones has criticised claims made by US President Donald Trump and Health Secretary RFK Jr. linking paracetamol use in pregnancy to an increased risk of autism.
  • Appearing on Good Morning Britain, Dr Jones dismissed these assertions as "completely erroneous" and "unsubstantiated theories based on no evidence whatsoever".
  • He said that paracetamol is "completely safe and effective when used appropriately in pregnancy", branding the claims as "pseudoscience and nonsense".
  • Dr Jones advised women in the UK to continue following NHS guidelines, saying that there has been no evidence over the last 100 years that paracetamol is harmful in pregnancy or causes autism.
