Trump says Charlie Kirk could have become president
Donald Trump stated that he once told right-wing influencer Charlie Kirk he had the potential to become president.
Mr Kirk, aged 31, was fatally shot at a college campus on 11 September, with Mr Trump describing him as a "great American" who was killed for "speaking his mind".
These remarks were made by Mr Trump during a press conference in Britain on Thursday, 18 September, alongside Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.
Mr Trump also expressed gratitude for the condolences offered by British citizens following Mr Kirk's death and called for UK-US collaboration to defend "glorious traditions of freedom".
