Donald Trump claims successful US strikes on Nuclear sites in Iran
  • US President Donald Trump announced that US military strikes on three Iranian nuclear sites were successful.
  • Trump stated that the targeted sites, Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan, had been "totally and completely obliterated."
  • He referred to Iran as the "bully of the middle east," called for peace, and warned that future attacks would be easier if Iran did not comply.
  • These strikes followed earlier attacks by Israel on Iran on June 13, which Israel claimed were due to Iran's nuclear weapon development, and subsequent retaliatory airstrikes by Iran.
  • According to an Associated Press report, at least 657 people were killed and 2,037 wounded in Iran.
