Trump inaugurates luxury golf course in Scotland
Donald Trump announced his plan to attend the opening day of the Ryder Cup on 26 September at Bethpage Black Course in Farmingdale, New York.
Trump, an avid golfer, stated on Truth Social that he was invited by the PGA Tour, though the Ryder Cup is operated by the PGA of America.
The president frequently attends major sporting events, including golf tournaments, and an online tracker estimates he has golfed 55 out of 221 days in office.
Trump also commented on Truth Social that Keegan Bradley should 'DEFINITELY' be on the American Ryder Cup Team as captain, calling him an 'AMAZING guy'.
Despite Trump's comment, Bradley, the youngest American captain since Arnold Palmer, has stated he will not select himself to play in the matches, maintaining a long-standing tradition.
